Percent completeAsteroids may help deliver chemical ingredients for life in planetary systems outside our own!
ExoasteroidsDo you ever wonder what the future holds for our solar system? The Sun will eventually become a dense, planet-sized object called a white dwarf. That means studying the white dwarfs we see in the sky can provide a glimpse into our own solar system's fate! Help astronomers discover debris disks and asteroids around white dwarfs using images taken by NASA's Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer (WISE) telescope.
The work of Exoasteroids personnel has been supported by NOIRLab, which is managed by the Association of Universities for Research in Astronomy (AURA) under a cooperative agreement with the National Science Foundation.
