Are you trying to use the Zooniverse app?
It would be better if you used the web browser (eg. Chrome)
If the browser you're opening doesn't work, can you try another device?

If I may suggest- you may find a better response to your concern by emailing the Zooniverse team directly;: contact@zooniverse.org . They do not usually have time to peruse every discussion here in Talk. 😉

It would be nice to have Dark Mode as an option for Zooniverse Mobile App.

@VeronicaHG Thank you for posting here. Great if you could go to the app store and try again. We just released an updated version this week. If you have any difficulty, it would be really helpful if you could email contact@zooniverse.org with details about what type of phone you're using. We'll then be able to troubleshoot. It's really helpful when people let us know because there may be others facing a similar issue.

Thank you!

Hi!

I got a new phone this weekend and have barely found out about the existence of zooniverse. Is there any app for this? I tried looking for it in the app store but it said it wasn't available. Does the app have to update to newer phones or would it be an issue on my device? I figured it would be nice to check zooniverse when on the bus.

Good afternoon.

I am a computer engineer so if you need any help i can make suggestions if you need or want. Workflows are an interesting concept but I'm
sure we'll manage if we work together as a team.

Thanks.

Hello,

Thank you for your reply. We should then probably not make this workflow available in mobile app.

Hi there. I’m afraid the mobile app doesn’t support audio files, but they should work in mobile web browsers.

Hello,

We are trying to set up one of our workflows on a mobile app, but it keeps crashing. Additionally, we have a spectrogram and a sound for each subject, but in this app, the sound shows as empty space, and you have to scroll down to see the spectrogram. It looks like the sound and the spectrogram are not joined like they are on the desktop version.

The joint third Observing Run (O3) of the LIGO (Hanford and Livingston), Virgo, and KAGRA gravitational wave observatories had ended on March 27, 2020 - a month earlier than originally planned because of the Covid epidemic.

Since then, all four instruments have undergone extensive upgrades: New, more powerful lasers, new end test masses at Livingston, new 300-meter auxiliary filter cavities (and some new buildings to house them!) to enable frequency-dependent squeezing, and a host of other little things besides. Commissioning is ongoing in preparation for the upcoming fourth observing run.

Some useful references:

(All of these can be reached from the OpenLVEM Wiki. Another update is due later this week.)

Meanwhile, Zooniverse volunteers continue to help the engineers deal with transient instrumental and environmental noise by classifying glitches recorded during the past Engineering and Observing Runs. 😃

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,

I haven`t been on a while but read that the LIGO, JAPANESE, VIRGO crew were all shutdown.

Recently in Pininterest my pin found that a graphic rep. Of the galaxy scope of gravity interferometers can greatly increase by retooling.

Did VIRGO get upgraded in Dec. 2022?

(not the one i needed)

All three were down at once so this is either international union activity or... Who knows why! Do you knows why? 🙂

Welcome to the Zooniverse @Bennettej. Many projects are not well-suited to classifying on a mobile device, particularly one with a small screen, and the app doesn't support as many types of classification task as the website. Therefore only a subset of projects can be offered on the app. If you really want to work on a project on your mobile device and it's not on the app, you will have to use the website, which does work on any device.

I’ve just joined zooniverse and seemed to be advised when signing up to use the app but the projects I started working on on the website weren’t available. This is very disappointing.
Please try to get the app in sync with the website otherwise it’s not a good resource

I haven't used the app for a while, but I'm looking at it now, and it's a sad sight. Most of the projects show as "out of data". Could we at least have an option to show only live projects?
