Dr Ellie Reed
Dr Ellie Reed is a Lecturer in English literature at Brunel University, London. Her research focuses on twentieth-century domestic magazines within wider literature: her book about UK publication Woman's Weekly is available here. Her current research focuses on knitting in magazines; she has shared this research at presentations for the Knitting & Crochet Guild and Knitting History Forum, in the Journal of Dress History, and in online talks about knitting during the First World War and interwar years. She is a keen knitter herself, and was taught to knit by her mum Sarah and her grandma Ellen. She is a member of the Knitting & Crochet Guild.
