Dr. Venter is the lead project co-ordinator for Snapshot Safari – South Africa. He is a lecturer and researcher in wildlife ecology at the Nelson Mandela University.
Mika is a PhD Nature Conservation student at the Nelson Mandela University. She will be using the camera trap data to explore mammal occupancy and distribution within the protected areas of South Africa.
Chloe graduated with a BSc in Wildlife Ecology from Washington State University and for the past few years working on the Kings River Fisher Project in the Sierra National Forest. She is currently pursuing her MSc from Nelson Mandela University, assessing the effectiveness and efficiency of multiple mammal diversity methods in arid ecosystems across land tenure in South Africa.
Lain is a Colombian Biologist with a MSc in Conservation and Wildlife Management from the National University of Costa Rica, and Ph.D. in Tropical Ecology from James Cook University, Australia. Currently a post-doc at Nelson Mandela University (South Africa) investigating mammals diversity and occupancy patterns across South Africa.
Amauréé is currently pursuing her Masters degree in Nature Conservation at the Nelson Mandela University. The aim of her study is to investigate the effect of environmental processes and human interference on the feeding and behavioural dynamics of five specialist browser species in fragmented lowland Fynbos and Renosterveld systems.
Hernu is currently enrolled for a MSc in Nature Conservation at Nelson Mandela University, George campus. His study focuses on the effects of transformed landscapes on the spatial ecology of five specialist browsing species in the Overberg region of the Western Cape province of South Africa.
